DoIT's technology and resources make Westchester County's government more effective and efficient and its services more accessible to the public.

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is one of Westchester County's newest having been formed in 1998. It was previously known as the Data Processing Division, which between its creation in 1968 and in 1998 was part of the departments of Finance, County Executive, and General Services. Currently, the only records available are from its Records and Archives division which was established in 1985 under the office of County Clerk, and transferred to DoIT in 1998.
